The Sophienbad is a river bath for Halle. New steel structures evoke the industrial past and create an inviting gesture. The monolithic spatial volumes have been respectfully integrated into the existing structure. An open terrace offers views of the Saale River, providing a sense of open-air bathing, while a platform at water level allows direct access to the river. The outdoor bathing experience is enhanced by the sauna area and comfortable changing rooms, with an inviting kiosk serving as a social hub.
