The St. Stephanus Church in Halle was built in 1893 in the neo-Gothic style and served as an addition to the too-small Laurentius Church. In a hypothetical urban planning competition, it was decided that the building should be repurposed into a community-oriented center. Public facilities, residential units, and communal areas will enrich the neighborhood. The concept envisions dividing the volume into seven independent parcels, each seeking an interior architecture that matches the character of the existing architecture while interpreting its use in a modern way. My design "Chorus" was created in the choir area.
